This piece is constructed from hundreds of odd shaped forged steel elements welded together to form the Horse.
It is in exact life scale and stands over six feet tall. The impressive mass of the piece is evident when it is viewed in person.
Daily Deviation, 2006-09-06

Daily DeviationHorse by ~livesteel is an impressive and beautifully crafted sculpture composed of variegated metal pieces impressing one with the graceful mass of a full-sized horse yet touched by a fantastic whimsy. Imagine this beast trotting through a meadow, nickering gently. (Suggested by ~deadlydesignz and Featured by `oedalis)

It has this feeling of tension, as if it is going to move. Beautiful work, I would love to see different stages and how your sculptures make progress :blowkiss:
"prancing through a meadow, nickering softly"?

nah, he's way tougher than that. HE'S MADE OF STEEL.

I would prefer to imagine this studly beast wreaking havoc in said meadow with his Steel Hooves of Doom.

but that's my own personal opinion.

anyway, very impressive. I can't imagine the patience and skill needed to create something like this... glad you got a daily dev, you certainly deserve it.
Wow! Just, wow! Impressive level of talent inthere. Nice work.
